 Matar Paneer Recipe- 

  Ingredients for Matar Paneer-

  • Green peas - 1 (one) cup

  • Paneer - 250 (two and a half grams) grams

  • Tomato - 250 grams (two and a half grams) • Green chili - 2 to 3 (two to three)

  • Oil 3-4 (three to four) tbsp

  • Cream - 1/2 (half) cup

  • Green Coriander - 3-4 tbsp (finely chopped)

  • Ginger paste - 1 (one) tsp

  • Cumin - 1/2 (half) tsp

  • Asafoetida - 1 (one) pinch

  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 (half) tsp

  • Coriander powder - 1 (one) tsp

  • Red chili powder - 1/4 (one-fourth) tsp

  • Garam Masala - 1/4 (one-fourth) tsp or as per taste

  Method-

  • First of all take paneer, cut it into small pieces.  Keep the pan on the gas and heat it by adding 2 spoons of oil, when the oil becomes hot, put small pieces of paneer in it and fry it, fry these pieces of paneer till they turn golden from both the sides and take them out in a plate.

  • Now take a pan, pour some water and put peas in it and let it boil on medium heat, after 2 to 3 minutes check the peas, the peas become a little soft (pressed with fingers) then take them out in a plate.

  • Grind tomatoes and green chilies finely in the grinder.

  • To make gravy, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan again.  When the oil becomes hot, add cumin, asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder and ginger paste to the hot oil and fry it while stirring (let it brown), then after it turns brown, then now tomato, green chili paste and red  Put chili powder in the pan and fry the spices until oil starts floating on the spices. (Its color does not change).

  • When the masala is roasted well, then add cream to it and fry the spices while stirring continuously till it comes to a boil.  When the spices come to a boil, add 1 cup of water to it and cook the gravy while stirring again until it comes to a boil.

  • When the gravy starts boiling, add salt, garam masala and mix.  Now add grated paneer and peas to the gravy and mix it well.  Now put half chopped coriander in it and keep half for garnish.

  • Take it out in a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves, your sabzi is ready, serve hot Matar Paneer sabzi, serve it with tandoori, paratha, non or chapati and eat it.  enjoy hot vegetable.
