Dahi Kadhi Recipe

Materials:-

  • Whipped curd - 2 cups

  • Besan - 1 tbsp

  • Turmeric powder - a pinch

  • Garlic - 5 cloves

  • Ginger - 1 small piece

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar - 1 tsp

  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp (optional)

  • Green Coriander - 1 cup (finely chopped)

  For Seasoning

  • Oil - 2 tsp

  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp

  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp

  • Dry red chili - 1

  • Green chili - 2 (chopped)

  • Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp


  Way:-

  • Take a bowl, add whipped curd, turmeric powder, salt, sugar and mix it well.

  • Now add gram flour, little water and mix it in the curd mixture.

  • Crush the ginger and garlic buds or make a paste.

  • Put oil in a pan and heat it, when it is hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

  • When it starts spluttering, add dry red chili, green chili, asafoetida and curry leaves.

  • Now add grated ginger and garlic to it.  Fry it for a minute till the raw smell goes away.

  • Add some water, then add the curd mixture to it.

  • Let it come to a boil and turn it off.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves (chopped) and black pepper powder.  

    Your kadhi is ready, serve it with roti, paratha or poori.
