Vegetable Dosa Recipe

Materials-

   • Rice - 1 cup

   • Toor dal - 1/2 cup

   • Chana dal - 2 tbsp

   • Urad dal - 2 tbsp

   • Vegetable of your choice - 1 cup (chopped)

   • Salt - as required

   • Dry red chili - 4

   • Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp

   • Ginger - 1 piece

   • Cumin - 1 tsp

   • Oil - for making Adai


   Description-

   • First wash the rice and lentils, after washing, soak for 1 hour.

   • The vegetable you are going to use, add dry red chili, ginger, cumin, asafoetida, salt and required water to that chopped vegetable and grind it finely in the grinder.

   • Make this batter like dosa batter.  You can use this batter immediately, it does not need to be fermented.

   • Now take a normal griddle or dosa griddle, heat it on medium high flame.

   • It should be so hot that when you sprinkle a few drops of water, it starts cracking.

   • Fill a spoonful of batter and put it in the center of the pan.

   • Now spread it with the back of the spoon in a clockwise circular motion.

   • Pour some oil in the center of the dosai and also on the sides.

   • Cook the dosa till cooked from both the sides.  (It takes approx 2 minutes).  When it turns brown, take it out in a plate.  Similarly make dosa with the rest of the batter.  

Your dosa is ready, serve hot.  

Serve them with chutney of your choice.
